Jennifer James provides commercial real estate brokerage solutions to office and industrial property owners and tenants. She helps clients negotiate contracts including new leases, expansions, renewals, terminations, purchases, subleases, and office relocations. Jennifer utilizes her strong organizational and analytical skills to help clients reach their goals with the best possible terms. She is persistent, detail-oriented and will always go the extra mile for her clients.
Prior to becoming a commercial broker, Jennifer joined the ECR team in January 2018 as ECR’s Research Analyst. Jennifer provided support to the ECR brokerage team by tracking commercial real estate market information and reporting market data. Before ECR, Jennifer graduated as a triple major from Baylor University in December 2017 with a B.B.A in Economics, Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation, and Real Estate. Jennifer is a member of the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA) and as an Austin native, she loves to spend time enjoying all the city has to offer, from live music downtown to boating on the lake.

When and why did you begin a career in commercial real estate?
My actual career started right out of college in 2018, but I knew I was interested in commercial real estate from a young age and studied real estate in college. My family has been involved in real estate in Austin for many years and watching them build relationships with clients while providing them with new opportunities was always exciting to me. The competitive nature of real estate is also a perfect match for my personality as I love a challenge and really enjoy negotiating the perfect solution for my clients.
What do you specialize in at ECR?
I specialize in office leasing, both tenant and landlord representation.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Enjoying all the best parts of Austin, from being on the lake to seeing concerts downtown. I love working out and you can either find me at Love Cycling Studio or Orangetheory!
