When and why did you begin a career in commercial real estate?
I began my career in commercial real estate right after graduating from college. While living in Winston-Salem, NC, I witnessed firsthand how commercial development could completely transform a city. When I first got to college, downtown was overlooked and tired, but by the time I graduated, it had been revitalized with coffee shops, breweries, and local businesses. Seeing that transformation sparked my interest, and I knew I wanted to be part of shaping communities and supporting business growth through real estate. That passion led me to join a top local firm where I gained hands-on experience and developed a strong commitment to helping people navigate commercial real estate.
How do you approach client relationships?
When working with landlords, I start by understanding their goals for the asset – whether that’s stabilizing occupancy, increasing rental rates, or maximizing long-term value. From there, I focus on clear communication, consistent follow-up, and bringing strategic solutions to the table. My goal is to be a true extension of their team, helping position the property in a way that aligns with their vision and the market.
What do you enjoy doing outside of the office?
Outside the office, I love staying active – whether it’s a workout at EAAC, catching live music at Stubb’s, Scoot Inn, or ACL, or getting outside whenever I can. I’m also always on the hunt for new restaurants, coffee shops, and bars around town, and I’m usually planning my next weekend getaway.
