About Haley Smith, SIOR

Haley Smith has provided commercial real estate services for ECR since 2013 and specializes in office leasing and tenant representation. As a commercial broker, Haley helps clients negotiate contracts including new leases, expansions, renewals, buyouts, purchases, subleases, and relocations. Haley works with both office and medical tenants. Haley has been named multiple times by the Austin Business Journal as a “Heavy Hitter” in addition to being featured in the Austin Business Journal’s “Profiles in Power” list and as an “Austin Under 40” nominee.

Outside of ECR, Haley is on the board of the Make-A-Wish Austin Regional Board where she helps grant over 300 wishes per year for Central Texas families. Haley was previously on the board of the Commercial Brokers Association and she is also involved in Ronald McDonald Charities as well as Africa New Life Ministries. Haley received her B.A.S from Indiana University, where she studied Communications and Marketing.

From the beginning, the team at ECR took the time to understand our specific circumstances and evolving needs. We had just completed our first fundraising round and had plans to ramp up hiring beyond the capacity of our current space. When and why did you begin a career in commercial real estate?
I began my real estate career in December 2013. After graduating college, I moved into commercial real estate brokerage, where I am still today and feel very fortunate to have a career I am passionate about. I enjoy working with people and problem solving.

What do you specialize in at ECR?
I specialize in office leasing and investment sales. We are in a service industry and I work to serve my clients as best as possible. Hard work and great, consistent communication are requirements. I also view relationships as long-term, and to be sustainable and satisfying they must be productive and enjoyable for all parties. I strive to build real and genuine relationships where I truly know and care about my clients, and they feel the same way towards me.

Through brokerage, I have learned to be entrepreneurial, to have grit and persevere, and to never give up or become status quo.
