About Caitlin Gary

Caitlin is persistent, strategic, and always thinking ahead. She is a tireless advocate for her clients and purposes to help them make decisions that have a meaningful impact on their business today and for years ahead. She specializes in sales, buyer and tenant representation, and offers services in lease renewal negotiations, relocations, lease restructuring, lease vs. purchase analysis, broker opinions of value, and subleasing.

She joined the commercial real estate world in 2017 following several years in B2B sales, initially in advertising and later in predictive analytics and data science, covering the western United States. In those sectors, Caitlin served as a top producer and a strategic partner for her clients. A deep love for her hometown of Austin and the “fear of missing out” on the exciting and exponential growth of businesses here landed her in commercial real estate. Today, she brings an outside-of-the-box perspective, a deep network, knowledge of the city’s commercial real estate market, and sharp negotiating skills to the table.

When and why did you begin a career in commercial real estate?
The decision to move into commercial real estate was one made with curiosity, great intentions and through dialogues with dozens of people I admired in the industry. After being a top producer in various sales roles over the years, and spending hundreds of nights on the road in that work, I started to miss my hometown of Austin and was watching it change and “grow up” without me. I wanted to be a part of this exciting growth and there were new companies moving to Austin making a positive impact that I wanted to support. There were also local businesses that I cared about, and I knew needed help as Austin’s lease rates climbed to some of the highest in the nation. I left a great tech startup in 2017 to join ECR, which shares in my passion for building genuine relationships through service, integrity and care and I have been loving every minute since.

What do you specialize in at ECR?
I specialize in sales, and representing buyers and tenants in their office and retail decisions.

What has been your greatest accomplishment during your career?
While we continue to have big wins throughout the negotiation processes with clients, I take most pride in the relationships that have formed out of this work. To serve as a long-term partner and trusted resource when it comes to what is often a company’s second largest line item in their budget, their commercial real estate strategy, is what I purpose to accomplish.
