About Albert Vazquez

Albert Vazquez focuses on San Antonio commercial real estate solutions for businesses and property owners, primarily in office product. Having recent experience and proven execution with leasing & construction management of the recent lease-up of more than 150,000 SF in Northwest San Antonio, Albert’s diverse background allows him to recognize the leasing obligations from both a landlord and tenants perspective while providing cost-efficient solutions and time savings. Albert has facilitated 40 transactions covering 270,000 SF in all aspects of leasing (renewals, new leases, expansions, relocations) for an aggregate of over $15M in gross lease value.

Albert lives in San Antonio’s ever-growing Southtown Arts District neighborhood and enjoys taking part in San Antonio’s live music and arts, it’s outdoor scenery, and has joined the Hemisfair Coalition in efforts to revive downtown’s presence.

Albert received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with dual degrees in Entrepreneurship & International Business from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas where he was a C.A.M.P. Scholar, and instrumental in The Bill Munday School of Business as Senator of The Business School and member of the Dean’s Leadership Council.

When and why did you begin a career in commercial real estate?

My father has been in commercial construction for as long as I can remember, and he takes pride in the work he does. This is what drove me to pursue a career in commercial real estate in 2014. There is something special about being able to have a tangible outcome and something to show for it after putting in all of the hard work. Similarly, as a broker, you can see these types of results and transformations that make an impact on the community. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some really great ownerships who have redeveloped some neat projects and to be able to contribute feels great.

Providing tenant and landlord representation for office leasing

What has been your greatest accomplishment during your career?

Completing the redevelopment, leasing, and sale of Highpoint. It was a 300,000 SF suburban office project in San Antonio. This was perhaps one of the most critical moments in my career as it was a sign that hard work paid off after moving to a completely different city and executing on a long-term business plan.  I started as an associate and eventually promoted to a Junior partner having played a vital role in the development and sale of a multi-million dollar asset.

What do you enjoying doing outside of the office?

I’ve always liked adventure movies and I take every opportunity to travel and see new places. I’ve now visited many cities across 14 countries including my recent trips to Dubai and Barcelona. When I’m not out traveling, I like to explore the city with friends and take part in local festivals and art scenes.
