Every year, the Austin Business Journal takes the measure of Austin’s commercial real estate market by ranking the brokers who sold or leased the most space in the previous year — the Heavy Hitters. It’s the local industry’s most-watched scorecard, and 2025 was a year that demanded resilience, creativity, and deep market knowledge from anyone hoping to land on it.
We’re proud to share that eleven ECR brokers earned spots across all five categories on the 2026 Heavy Hitters list, with several appearing on multiple lists — a reflection of the cross-disciplinary depth our team brings to every deal.
Here’s how our team performed.
Office leasing was one of the most competitive categories on the list, and ECR placed nine brokers among the top landlord reps in Austin — more than any other category for our team this year.
In a year when landlords needed sharp strategy to navigate shifting tenant demand and recalibrated rental economics, this group delivered.
On the other side of the negotiating table, our tenant rep team showed the same depth — earning seven spots on the list and proving that ECR brokers are equally effective advocates whether they’re representing the building or the business in it.
Several names appear on both the landlord and tenant lists — a testament to the full-spectrum office expertise we’ve built at ECR.
Land transactions are often the most complex deals in commercial real estate, requiring patience, vision, and a deep understanding of where Austin is headed next. Three ECR brokers made the cut.
A special call-out to Matt Levin, ECR’s Founder and Managing Partner, whose continued presence on the land deals list reflects his decades-long commitment to shaping Austin’s growth from the ground up.
Industrial has been one of the most-watched sectors in the Austin market, and our industrial team delivered, placing four brokers on the list.
From last-mile distribution to flex and manufacturing space, this team has been at the center of Austin’s industrial expansion.
Investment sales rounded out our showing, with four brokers earning recognition for closing some of the year’s most notable building transactions.
A few names you’ll notice appearing again and again — the kind of versatility that defines ECR’s approach to the market:
Congratulations to every ECR broker recognized on the 2026 Heavy Hitters list — and a sincere thank you to the clients, partners, and collaborators who trusted us with their real estate decisions over the past year. The list is a snapshot, but the work behind it is what really matters: relationships built, problems solved, and businesses helped to grow.
Here’s to another strong year ahead.
