ECR Serves

A Year of Gratitude Beyond Real Estate

ECR is not only passionate about building successful business relationships; we are extraordinarily passionate about giving back to the communities we call home. ECR Serves is a philanthropic committee within the company that organizes initiatives to give back.

Since 2018, that’s the number of meals ECR Serves has provided to individuals in need.

Over the last five years, ECR Serves initiatives have helped to give thousands of meals to people. In addition, we’ve partnered with some wonderful organizations here in the local Austin area to assist with children’s school supplies, aiding families, and more.

Giving Back to Our Community

ECR’s Meal for a Deal program provided meals for Central Texas Food Bank’s Kids Cafe this year. The Kids Cafe program provides free suppers to students in need. We were able to provide over 20,000 meals this year. Additionally, we partnered our donation to Central Texas Food Bank by volunteering in their warehouse. Our team helped prepare over 360 produce bags to provide to our neighbors in need.

Furthermore, as a thank you to our clients, we made a monetary donation for each attendee at our Client Happy Hour. We were able to provide over 2,400 meals to those in need through Central Texas Food Bank.

Central Texas Food Bank

Our team volunteered in the Central Texas Food Bank’s warehouse. We helped package up donations to be distributed to those in need in our community. This is a small snapshot of the sorting and cleaning that took place that day. We look forward to working more with this great organization in the future.

Austin Diaper Bank

Our team hosted a packing party at the Austin Diaper Bank’s new warehouse location. We enjoyed doing our part to package up diapers for families in need.

san antonio salvation army

This was a team building day to support the Salvation Army. This organization helps men, women and children find emergency and safe housing and provides folks support who have fallen on tough times.

Ronald mcdonald House kitchen crew

Here is another photo of our team cooking at the Ronald McDonald House. This year we made breakfast for everyone staying at the house. It’s great to look back and see how much our team has grown over the years when comparing photos from previous work days!

blue santa donation drive

Our team collected toys for Blue Santa. We have been a collection site for a number of years now and enjoy getting to see the toys that will go to families in need in our community.

School supplies drive

This is from one of our first Back to School drives for Foundation Communities. School supplies were collected for children who attend after-school programs in the 15 Foundation Communities Learning Centers where they live. ECR employees contributed donations as well as tenants from some of the properties that we manage.

The SAFE Alliance (formerly SafePlace)

We ran a collection drive to support The SAFE Alliance. All donations were given to woman and children who are survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence.

Keep austin beautiful

Our team has cleaned up a lot of trash over the years! This is one photo of us participating in Keep Austin Beautiful where we helped remove a number of trash bags full of debris from the stretch of road we sponsored.

Sammy’s House Garage Sale Fence Fundraiser

ECR Serves collaborated with UShip on hosting a garage sale to benefit Sammy’s House. All proceeds went to purchasing an iron fence for their playground. Sammy’s House is a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas with a mission to bridge the gaps in services for children and youth who are medically fragile and/or developmentally delayed.

 Ronald McDonald House Kitchen

Our team cooked dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Our delicious meal of breakfast for dinner was served to families staying at the house who’s children were at Dell Children’s hospital. Ronald McDonald House Charities has been one of our staples for ECR Serves and an organization that we still support 10+ years later.
